A father is a person who walked with God experiencially for at least 15-20 years. No model is going to replace experience with God. And fathers can only take care for so many children. The church is good at bringing babies into the world and then expect them to walk and care for others when they are still babies themselves. Someday perhaps, we will learn that the charismatic person with passionate zeal is not necessary a father. But then again, why would we learn that?
