“If men and women today began by the thousands experiencing the depths of Jesus Christ in a transforming way, there would simply be no place for their expression of experience to fit into the present-day straitjackets of Christianity. Protestant or Catholic, neither one is structured to contain a mass of devoted people who long for spiritual depth. We are structured towards infancy.”

Yes, so true. I’m wondering if its possible to communicate this truth with as I’m participating in my yearly tribal gathering. So far I haven’t discovered a venue or way for doing so.

Thank you for sharing this quote. I’ve been thinking about it all day. Can you tell me the source? book? article? conference? sermon? Thanks.

I believe its from an interview with Gordon Cosby done by Jeff Bailey for Cutting Edge magazine about four years back. The issue is available in PDF on the Vineyard USA website.
